FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY

FLOWERS, BLOSSOMS & BOTANY

Ella Lugin began working with digital photography in 2000. She takes flowers, blossoms and botanicals out of their natural environment to give them a new interpretation of pure aesthetics and meaning. Through careful lighting, Ella creates flower portraits of noble beauty with a sometimes mysterious aura. In the work 'Mandala', the petal of the poppy plant unfolds a centered lightness, with petals that move around the center like waving silk. In the work 'Animus', the 'concentrated masculinity' of the anthurium flower literally comes to the fore. Or 'Elevin', a delicate interpretation of the dahlia, reminiscent of the energy of a ballet dancer. The withered leaf of a Costa Rican tree, which the artist has not named, looks like a wave dissolving into spray.

Wood, shells, flowers, leaves, all natural elements that can be isolated attract Ella Lugin's attention. Under her gaze, she creates architecturally appealing structures that reveal their unique beauty. Ella often finds her objects at the side of the road. These objects are millimetre-sized and are easily overlooked by passers-by. By focusing on them, they become immediately tangible.

Upon request, a so-called "Picture Stream" can be created, displaying the works from the FINE ART gallery on a monitor with a rotation every 5 minutes. All works by Ella Lugin can be combined and shown in a 60-minute stream. This means that customers can bring a constantly changing art exhibition to their premises via the monitor.
